My approach with an addiction to some extent depends on the addiction itself, you (or the person addicted) and the consequences (so far) of that addiction!

The ‘addiction’ industry is self perpetuating. How may celebrities have you read about? Detox.... Rehab ...Detox... off the wagon, on the wagon....  A seemingly never ending merry-go-round - except that it is not so merry - except perhaps for the shareholders of the £2000 a night clinics.
